I recently got computers setup with internet access and Windows xp at the business. What I need to figure out now is what type of software I can use to lock the computers!??!??! which company sells it? also another software I need is something where i can control full fuctions of a computer from a remote location and see everything going on the desktop screen from a remote location and take control of these computers if i need to. thanks in advance.

edit: almost fogot...employees need to use one website, but nothing else.

What do you mean by "lock"?

Set up some accounts and passwords, then only authorized people could use them.

Remote Desktop is part of XP, else if you wanted to view more than one computer at once, you could try Altiris Vision...

Dameware will let you connect to their computer. If you have a domain, you can use group policy to lockdown the computer. If you just have a workgroup, then a local policy would work to lock down the computer.

basically i want employees to use a windows xp computer with internet and have access to only one website through which they can do sales etc, but not goto hotmail and check their emails and surf the web, etc.....

windows xp has remote access built in?? I need to get something that is always running in the background and allows me to take control of computer or view screen anytime from remote computer.......all computers are connected to adsl 24/7

windows key + L locks the computer on XP

tight VNC will let you spy on the employees.

block all sites except the sales site at the router.
