I doubt you'll see em very much in stores, the games predate the first baldurs gate. maybe online or in second hand game shops.

Hmm, what do you hate about Star Wars? Is it the sci-fi theme or just the movies themselves? Try playing KOTOR or reading a Star Wars book if the movies are the only thing you are basing your opinion on. You may be pleasantly surprised.

ps - KOTOR and KOTOR2 are the best RPG games that I've played. But then again I am a recent convert to computer RPGs.

You don't get it. I had no love for Star Wars either. Play the stupid game already.

Agreed. Now, I'm both a Star Wars fan and an RPG fan, HOWEVER, KotOR sucked me in regardlesss. After a while I'd forgotten that it was 4k years before the SW universe I knew, and I was totally absorbed in the story and timeline of that period. The game rocked HARD and was totally engrossing.

My point is that you can love, feel nothing for, or hate star wars, but play KotOR and KotOR ANYWAY, as they seriously kick ass!

As for Fallout 1,2, & 3: WHERE (not just what kind of places) can I find them?

I also recommend both Gothic 1 and 2. Once you get past the almost keyboard exclusive controls (the mouse is really uselss except for adjusting the camera really..) you'll find a great rpg with plenty to explore, big towns with lots of characters that do daily jobs, sleep and have their own homes (which you could rob of course)..etc.

Anachronox is another excellent Final Fantasy style RPG with some great characters and some cool worlds. What other rpg has you play as a party that includes a shrunken planet, a mexican luchadore..etc.. its all good.

Planescape Torment is also a favorite of mine. Very much story based and there is tons of reading but it has great characters and a nice setting. I'm not a D&D guy but I loved the game.

I wasn't a fan of Star Wars before i played KOTOR... but after playing it, i liked the movies more. Still, i'm not a diehard fan. I still haven't seen episode 3
