I just went to oilstop and it seems that i need those two, I could do it myself but don't have the time or tools. They quoted at around $55-57 for each. Does this sound alright?

sounds about right (on the pricer side).. but you shouldnt do a flush of the ATX, it should be a drain and fill. The coolant should be a drain and fill too.

Most of the oil change places suck out the ATF. On a car with a 12 quart pan, they generally get about 4 quarts out. That's not really a change, it's more like a "freshen up".

I was charged $60 for both (labor + coolant, I supplied Valvoline synthetic ATF) on my LS V8 at my regular independent mechanic.

Did they tell you that you need your blinker fluid and muffler bearings changed too?

You sound like one of those people that believes tranny fluid shouldn't be changed until the tranny has problems.
