I have some .avi's i want to burn onto a dvd i can watch on my tv, what software is capable of doing this without too much hassle? like i said, forgive my noobish ways i don't create too many dvds.... kthx
I use Roxio, but it's not free. By the way, do all converters take so damn long to convert avi to dvd? Roxio takes pretty much the length of time the movie is. Anything faster?
Windows Movie Maker in Vista can do it. Works just fine too... used it the other day when I wanted to burn one all of a sudden and didn't want to look for tools. Note that only the one in Vista can produce DVDs!!
You have many excellent suggestions in this thread, but allow me to add another vote for VSO ConvertX to DVD, since it was the only one that didn't crash during a recent attempt to convert 1080i HD content .mkv files to "regular" DVD
I used to use Nero, but some videos wouldn't sync properly.
My vote goes to ConvertXToDVD. It works flawlessly, is faster and always syncs.
Plus it's easy to use!
