so, can my car run without the alternator? is that the thing that lets me alternate my headlights from high to low? or will i run out of headlight fluid without it?

You can damage the muffler bearings without an alternator.

go to BJs or Costco and buy a slab of Filet Mignon It's like 30-40 bucks for a 5-6lb slab.

:| Dude, read the thread! 5-6lb is not even half way to the 10lb benchmark that has been slated as NOT being bulk!

buying a huge piece of meat. When you trim and what not, you're gonna lose some meat.

Why not just get something of quality that youcan just cut and grill right away.

Funny someone bumped this thread - the gf brought home an alternator-sized chunk of beef last night and I smiled.

Did she source it online?

Yes and no. She physically recieved and paid for the meat at the B&M store at which she works. Part of her responsibilities are inventory management - she actually ordered that meat in the chain's supply management software, which communicates over the internet. So yes, technically, she ordered the meat which I'm having for dinner over the internet, and it's an alternator-sized chunk of beef.

but that isn't bulk beef, come on, bulk is at least 50 or 100 pounds. actually, i would say at least a quarter steer is needed to reach "bulk" status

i don't think he ever said it was bulk, only 'alternator' sized. whatever that means. i'm still trying to figure out what that is. is is the screen thing in the front with all the hoses attached to it?
