I'm in the mood to read a good non-fictional book... therefore probably no novels. I'm looking for a book on kind of current events/political issues like how american corporations (and IT jobs) are being shipped overseas or something of that sort. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

if you are interested in wall street and finance, you could try out "Barbarians at the Gate". It is about the takeover of RJR Nabisco.

Hmmm, sounds pretty good from the reviews at Amazon. Thanks for the suggestion.

"The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" -- 1200 pages of well written, genuinely interesting history.

I was thinking about reading that.

Definitely worth it. I consider myself a bit of a WWII buff (probably like 50% of the people on this forum) but this book had a lot of detail that I missed, because I had always focused on actual combat operations in the west.

Actually, it really brought home the monstrosities of the holocaust via cold, hard statisitics. It hit me more directly than Anne Frank ever did.

Things like the fight for Stalingrad, and the holocaust numbers really got me riled up.
DEFINITELY worth reading.
