What's a good newsgroup broswer/reader?

there has to be THE prog that's good for newsgroups.. just like Nero in burning world..

what do you recommend?

I think Newsbin Pro is probably the best overall, but for just downloading, GrabIT is a great program.

Forte Inc's Agent for Windows, Pan for Linux.

For reading text discussions, Forte's Agent is the #1 tool. For mass downloading of binaries like .mp3s, warez or porn (not that you do any of those things) you're better off with a dedicated binary sucker like NewsBin Pro.

Newsbin Pro is good, but it is not free 😉 Xnews is one of the better free newsreader.
