I just use a standard Microsoft, Optical mouse with Scroll wheel. 2 buttons, scroll wheel (which is also a button) and that's it. Never had any need for a fancy mouse.

I have the MX700 and a fre MX1000. I would actually suggest the MX700 is you don't mind the weight. I got the MX1000 free as a replacement when my charger died for the 700. The 1000 is lighter but I hav had some skipping issues with it. Every once in a while during an upward movement it will skip forward too much. It occurs on all surfaces. Not to big of an issue but it gets annoying when I am actually do precision stuff. This is not speed dependent either it happens when I am doing slow precise movements like graphics editing. I can't complain becuase it was free, but since I have a NiMH recharger I still use the 700 fir my other computer and I am thinking of movin it back to my main rig.

Once you've used one of these, you'll never go back. My review from these forums. In, you know, the right forum topic. :|

Those are awesome, but I wouldn't get one because I've migrated to wireless and plan to stay wireless. Cords suck....end of story.

I was using an mx310 but I switched back to my old wheel mouse optical since I started playing starcraft again. The mx310 wasn't too rapid-click friendly.
