well... if you're having an issue with ecs mobo...
have you tried upgrading your psu?

that might be a better investment.

with kt333 boards coming out right now...
if you can hold of with your ecs for a little bit more... it might be worth the wait.

also... getting a bigger psu will prepare you for your next mobo as well.
chances are , with your next mobo... especially if you're trying to o/c...
you'll need a better psu than your 300w.

if you are still convinced in getting a mobo to replace your ecs...
then look into EPoX 8KHA+, newegg's got a refurb ones for real cheap.
or iwill xp333. both are under 100.

I take it you don't want K7S5A right? Well, you have only one other option, the Asus A7A266(-E), but unforunately, I cannot find a single A7A266-E in stock on Pricewatch, and I guarantee you that you want to avoide the A7A266. It even when using DDR, was barely faster than KT133A. I really am not sure that you have much of an option other than K7S5A. As for......

What do you mean? You can't boot from a floppy? If u can't, it's not Win XP's fault, but rather you have the Hard Drive ahead of the Floppy Drive in the boot order in the BIOS. Take a look at the BIOS settings for this. The optimum (I think) configuration is the folowing:

1. Floppy
2. CD-ROM
3. Hard Drive

I know it's not Win XP, because I've botted plenty of times from a floppy on my Win XP system.

PICK UP AN ASUS REFURB A7M266 FOR LIKE 60 SOME BUCKS AT NEWEGG. IT SUPPORTS DDR.
