What's a good Linux port?

I can't stand Windows anymore. I want to have more control over my machine. I hate how Windows trys to do everything for you, but does it all wrong. I'd like to use Linux for my daily computing needs, so what's a good version? :)

probably redhat....but i am a real newbie but i ahve to ask...lol..have you used linux before...you should read up on it before you start....oriely press is a good place start...get "running linux" and "linux in a nutshell"...they also have "running redhat" and it comes with the distro cd....so kinda a good thing there....good luck on your choice.

I've always like port number 21.......ohhhhh I think you mean distrobution ;)

Look into redhat, mandrake, or SuSe
