What's a good linux discussion site?

I'm starting to get into linux, and i'm looking for a forum of some sort where people talk about using linux. Even though there's a lot of good stuff there, I really don't like slashdot. It seems like they have a lot of smart and interesting users, but they've recruited retarded middle school fanboys to moderate the site. Also, it seems to be news-oriented, and i'm mostly interested in how things work in linux, and later i'd like to write some software.

What's a good place for useful linux discussion?
