Well I'm not ganna stop drinking beer. I love beer. And yes If I drink I won't drink only one. I will have a couple. Is Sam Adams light fairly good? All the watered down Bud/Coors/Millers suck.

I like: Bud Light, Busch Light, Keystone Light, Natural Light.

Millter Lite I'll drink but prefer any of the previously listed beers over it.

You could see how "light" the wheat beers are.

I am trying to lose weight too, and have tried Sam Adam's Octoberfest for the first time last week. I absolutely love it, and think I can put up with being a little over weight (5'7 160) to enjoy the beer I want.

Ok, so I'm not huge but I could lose a few lbs.

I've made an amazing discovery! Every time I take a drink of beer the bottle gets lighter! That's my kind of light beer.

I'm glad you asked. My gf and I just finished doing a light beer blind taste test.

Round 1:
Bud vs Coors vs Miller

Ended up being Coors > Bud >>> Miller. I was very surprised as I expected Bud to finish last, but Miller was far worse than Coors or Bud.

Round 2:
Amstel vs Coors vs Heineken

Ended up being Heineken > Coors > Amstel. Yes, Coors is better than Amstel Light. But Heineken was definitely better than Coors.

Once you consider price I would say Coors Light definitely wins.

That is regarded as a girly drink around here. You might as well drink a wine cooler.

Coors Light FTW! (And, at local bars here, they serve it in pretty damned large bottles.)

I always describe that beer as the taste you get if you drink the last sip of a beer can from the night before. It's the dry taste of a warm beer....only it's cold and still carbonated. Good stuff as a first beer, but not good if you have more than one.

Rolling Rock makes one called Green Light that's pretty good. Otherwise, I like to swap out between Bud Light or Miller Light just because there's no surprises and they're usually cheaper. Check your microbrews too....almost everyone likes to make a light lager to mix in with their hoppy or darker ales.

That's a fair enough statement. But usually when I drink Asahi I'm not sitting in front a tv trying to get shitty. I find it good with certain foods.
