whats a good kinda cheap restaurant to take a friend out?

in southern california (i live in riverside so anywhere around there is good but not necessary)

20-30 bucks a plate is my price range because im spending the rest of my money on gas (17/19 mpg sucks) and her present

a nice romantic setting type thing would be good too 🙂
 
McDonnalds Family Restaurant, i hear that place is quiet cheap... although can get a bit noisy at times
 
Dude, make a drive out to San Gabriel Valley and you'll find tons of cheap places.

For breakfast, I heard there's a pretty good place near Loma Linda that serves HUGE pancakes. Sorry, I dunno what its called.

Go to Houston's (I know one is in Pasadena and Irvine) or Northwood (in West Covina I think, which is closer to Riverside)

Just please, don't take her to Olive Garden, it's not much of a &quot;nice&quot; place, to me, it's more of a casual nice. 🙂

Or hey, bring her to old Town Pasadena, there's great restuarant there 🙂 or down in Irvine, maybe in the Spectrum?
 
at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa there's Maggiano's, pretty fancy place or theres Cheesecake Fctory at the spectrum (Chicken MArsala = YUUUUUUUUUM), macaroni grill aint bad, Waters Lake House is reallly romantic, on the lake and everything, dont kno bout the prices though, but one of my favorites is All you can eat Korean BBQ yuuuuum, but not exactly a romantic setting.
 
Or maybe just some chill restuarants right by the beach around Newport? it's nice plus u can walk around there and jsut talk after dinner 🙂
 
I think it's more of the quality than the quantity that I'm looking for 🙂 I'm sure u've tasted better pasta than that right?😀 not that I'm saying their food are bad, I like it too, just that I've had better 😀

well.... if it really is &quot;just a friend&quot; then you don't need anything more than casual nice. if she were really &quot;just a friend&quot; you wouldn't need to take her to a dinner nicer to one you'd take one of your guy friends too. but that's just me and my delusions about equality.

sorry i can't be of much help, if you were in seattle i'd give you a sweet seafood spot that's kinda cheap. best fish and chips i've ever had though.

dude, did you get tired a lot? those plates are kinda heavy.
 
i say go to ToDai or whatever if there is one over there

i think under $15 per person and all you can eat

refills on drinks cost you though

but the food is excellnt
 
Hmmm, your post implies more than just being friendly.

How about a bucket of wings and a box of condoms? Thats $20-$30 bucks for the night; you supply the back seat.
 
haha okay well 30 is too much actually 20 is probably more like it

instead of romantic setting maybe i should have said something cuteish? plants, roses, yunno pretty stuff.. she likes those kinds of things

its a really long story but she used to be my best friend and im gonna miss her a lot i really dont want her to forget this 🙂

sorry i just like the olive garden 🙂 i meant to try this one place with red checkered tablecloth and plates of pasta that you share, but there was a snow storm on valentine's and my date couldn't get over here. oh well 🙁
