What's a good GUI file compare tool in Linux?

I'm looking for a decent file compare tool in Linux that is GUI based, I can't seem to find anything good as they're all command line, which is fine if you're SSHed into a server or something, but for real productive desktop work I want something GUI based. Anything decent out there? In Windows I used to use one called Examdiff. I want something like that.

Emacs has ediff mode.

Are there GUI clients for Git (or other version control system)?
(Emacs naturally has modes for them.)

Just got around to trying Meld. It looks good so far. I don't need it for anything specific right now but I'll know for sure once I do, but it does look very good, perhaps even better than the one I used to use in Windows.

I had tried command line tools but it was just not intuitive enough. Command line stuff is nice for administrating a system and automating things, but nothing beats a good GUI tool for when you want to USE a system in a desktop environment.
