Keep in mind the mucmail.com is my pet project... Signup page

At the main homepage is a list of things that I still need to be implementing. The main features of mucmail.com are the 10MB mailboxes and unlimited address blocking.

dakata24 - IMP 3.1 is out? DOH. I am pretty happy with squirrelmail since I am a no frills guy. I like how squirrelmail installs with next to nothing :). Then I was able to install the modules that I needed I could keep the bloat down.

I might setup another box with IMP 3.1 and see how it is.

imp 3.1 is out. at least since july 20 something.. that's when i started looking around for webmail solutions.. one things for sure. at least to a newbie like me, squirrelmail is super easy to install vs imp. because IMP 3.1 requires you to install Horde Framework for it to run..

but just looking at the screenshot. i dont know if it's modded or something, but it looks like a webmail client like yahoo or hotmail.. very different from IMP 2.x.

i'm going to test it out on phpdev that i have on my system.. the server i'm on is still on PHP 4.0.6  but supposedly going to be upgraded soon..

hehe. i might have to turn to someone like you to help me install it.. i'm pretty much winging it when im installing this stuff. dont know PHP or anything. just going by install guides (invision board, phpbb, squirrelmail all have very clear instructions on how to install). horde/imp's instructions are alittle more difficult for me to comprehend..

Ever written any un-patriotic emails? They'll be at your door ;)

LOL. Actually, It's worth the price of admission to take part in their discussion boards. Very entertaining at times.

dakata24 - Ahh... I've been running my current setup for a couple months now. I really have no complaints about it. The work that I need to do on it is to make it a little more secure for public usage etc... Otherwise it is great for my family and I. Is IMP as fast as squirrelmail?

mucman, at least with IMP 2.2.7, it seems about as fast as squirrelmail when i was testing them out.

dakata24 - I am installing IMP 3.1 on my machine right now... I will set it up to access the IMAP server that squirrelmail is running on... maybe it's a little early to make mucmail.com beta :p
