I can't imagine any circumstances under which you would "need" to set up a blog for your website.

I looked at bblog, b2log and plog, and most of my friends said that plog looked the best...as for implementation and usage, I haven't tried it yet, couldn't say. :)

do it in html- easier to integrate stuff into it if archiving isn't a huge factor =)

That's one of the BEST things about addaction.net is their bluetrix cPanel skin with auto installer scripts.

Definitely check them out!

Hey, i was just doing the same thing as you, i am also on addaction. I played around with b2 and didnt really like it. Check out NUCLEUS CMS. Things like Mambo and Movable type are just way overkill for a simple blog application. Nucleus can be found here: http://www.nucleuscms.org/ Nucleus is easy to use, customize, and setup, it also has some great features like the ability to extend the blog onto another page, add/upload pics for a blog...

Im ussing Moveable type, it was a bitch to install ( mostly due to my incompetence ) and even more so a pain to get things looking like the site did when I was using Greymatter. Now that it's all set up though, I think it's pretty good - I'm happy with it.
