I need to get a ~600mb file from a friend and I remember reading about a direct file sharing program where he could directly stream it to me... Problem is that I don't remember the name.

BTW, I tried setting up a FTP server, but COX blocks port 21. And when I switch to any other port I get a bad data connection error. So that option isn't good.

Sweet! How do they operate this for free? I guess they just like getting to be able to sort through all the stuff that ppl send...

If you're just sending between you two, you can just use an instant messanger program. AIM does it for sure.

I could never really get Azureus to work right. BitSpirit always worked for me, very nice interface.

i like bit torrent. using the latest azurues, you can make a decentralized torrent so you don't have to worry about setting up a tracker and forwarding the necessary tracker ports and stuff. i think dht is the coolest thing ever so far! :D

yousendit.com is pretty good too.
