Whats a good fathers day gift?

For a dad who always says, It's OK, you don't have to get me anything. Hes very technically illeterate, and starting to get old....

I was thinkin about gettin him a ladder as we have a very ricketly old 6" aluminum one... the problem is that fiberglas ladders are goddamn $100 for 6 foot ones. Anyone know where to get one for cheaper? What other recommendations would you suggest?

hes more practical, so I dont think he would mind...

he also loves the outdoors, what would you recommend for that? Binoculars are too expensive 🙁

Are you kidding? I'd be thrilled with a ladder from my kids. I always get my dad tools for fathers day. Craftsman usually comes out with something around this time of the year that my dad doesn't have, so I'll buy him that.

Check out the sportsmans guide for binoculars, if he doesn't have any, even their lower end stuff would be good for him. They're usually affordable too.

You could probably get a wooden ladder cheaper, but they're a bit heavier. The newer wooden ladders are far sturdier than the older ones.

Anything you think he really should use. My dad, being a pharmacist, has to stand all day. I gave him nice foot massager and shoes 🙂
