What's a Good External Case For a 3.5" Hard Drive (USB)?

Computer Geeks has a number of them at low cost. You want USB2 or Fire for reasonable speed.

Thanks for the links. Transfer rates don't look too promising. I though that since I now have 2.0 capability this would be a good idea for an external back-up with a mid-size hard drive in it. The retail units are so expensive, but you get much better transfer rates?

This is a fairly simple technology. The only reason that the ADS might be worth its cost of twice that of the ones on Compgeeks is that you might have a chance of seeing updated drivers. newegg also has the same cases as Compgeeks (under Generic on newegg) and you may come out ahead there with low cost FedEx saver shipping. It is noted in one of the user reviews on newegg that updated drivers are available from the chipset maker (Cypress) and are necessary for best perf, so I guess it really doesn't matter if the particular case maker goes TU or not - you can always get drivers. So if I were buying today, I would be getting the Compgeeks/newegg generic.
