What's a good dvd ripping/copy software for backups?

New copy protections are demanding DVD Decryptor 1st then Shrink. Something about weak sectors. Heads up there is a new decryptor version as of 1-5-05. . .

actually, Decypter + NERO VisionExpres/Recode, would be better, as there are only 2 steps, and you can shrink or split the disc, Preserve the menus...

i was just doing waht im supposed to do and search to find answers. I needed a program to decrypt a DVD so Recode could read it.

FOund this thread and i thought id pass along the infom

The only time I have had to use DVDDecrypter is if the disk is badly scratched. (It retries more and slows down to read errors more than DVDShrink).

Otherwise, DVDShrink does the job by itself quite well.
