GHG.net

It's a small independent ISP. Don't know if it is available to sign up outside the Houston area, but I checked and they do have nationwide dial in numbers. This company helps provide LAN services to NASA, and they are known to be very reliable.

Prodigy has been as good to me as dial-up can be lately. They've just merged with Yahoo, so I don't know if that will make things better or worse, but they did more than double my e-mail & home page space to 15MB.

Juno not so good because their numbers are not very reliable (at least in our area) but ATT works well and you can talk to the CS and they'll let you install w/o their software.
