Whats a good controller for use with pc games?

Being an avid console gamer, the keyboard is not something that I find comfortable to play games with, especially racing games. Any advice on whats good these days? I'm thinking the Xbox 360 controller but that just seems a bit too buggy for what its suppose to do.

i like the 360 one

Using the Logitech Rumblepad 2 (corded) and no problems at all. I really like the rubber padding they added.

I'd suggest this Saitek P2500 USB Gamepad its similar to the PS2s dualshock has good easily configurable software and is cheap to boot
