looking for a car that will last for about a year, im 18 and want a nice lookin car, preferably a 4 door sedan. been looking at mazda 626, any other suggestions?

I'd steer clear of the 626 because having Mazdas worked on is expensive. If you want a good 4 door sedan, I'd go with either a 1989-1994 Nissan Maxima or a 1991-1993 Honda Accord. Or, you could always go with a domestic, but I'm a biased person so I don't ever suggest them.

domestics will be cheaper probably, because they depreciate fast. my civic has gone down maybe 5-6k in value, and its almost 6 years old.

ConsumerReports.com -> $5 membership for one month, worth every penny, because you want to look at car recalls, avg # of repairs, etc...

I would also go for the Maxima... although you might be able to find the 95/96 Maxima for 4k if you're lucky.

There's also the Accord V6, Accord 4cyl, Civic, Altima, Sentra, Corolla.

If you just need a car to get around, I would go with a 4cyl like the Altima, Corolla, or the Civic because repairs will be a lot cheaper and easier than the V6's.

look for an Olds eighty-eight or nintey-eight, they are cheap, reliable cars that will transport you in comfort.
Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis/Town Car

You could probably get a '94 Accord for that price, looks good imho. Not sure if you want domestic but Contours could be had for that price, about 6 years old or so. I'd definetly stay away from the 626 - friend had very bad luck with his purchased used.
