What's a good camera (non digital) to get?

Nothing too fancy, no SLR..

Just want a nice little camera to take around on vacation and stuff, has a decent zoom, and takes nice pictures.

Any advice?

I suggest you stay away from the APS type of camera, meaning you should get a little point and shoot 35mm type. I say this mostly, because APS negatives are stored in the film canister making it hard to store the negatives with the photos in a compact and neat fashion.

how much are you going to spend?

personnally i love my SLR camera. can't beat it for picture quality....

decide how much zoom you want, and if you want a compact camera.

smaller will cost you more. more zoom will too.

I guess those canon elphs are nice, but use the APS film i think.

If you want APS, you're on your own. I hate that sh!t
Out of curiousity...why?

My wife won't use anything but an APS camera and I'm currently looking for one for her. She really likes the three different sizes of pics.

Personally I don't use anything but my digital, but she gets ticked at me when I don't print off enough pics for her precious photo albums.
