This modem is rock solid. I had a silly US Robotics which I to constantly reset. Not that it didnt rage online, its just that my PC was never able to get an IP address from my ISP. Then I got the Motorola, and then I never have to reset this. I mean, maybe once every few months but I am very satisfied.

I got this one, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16825112104 and it works well. Only about 2 months of use. I didn't notice a huge jump from my previous speeds, but so far it averages maybe 10% faster then the cheap crap the cable company gave me 4 years ago. The only reason I replaced that one though was because it stopped working consistently. (When I first signed up, there was a setup fee that was pretty much the purchase of the modem, so I never had to rent one)
