hey guys,

My igp is getting flaky so i think it's time to upgrade.

I have a sempron 2800+ based system, 1.6 ghz and a gig of ram.

I don't do any gaming. I do web surfing, watch some dvd's and watch xvid and divx videos.

Can you guys recommend a video card that would be appropriate for my system and my needs for as little as possible. say under $40,new or used. Thanks

Jason

ok i assumed agp so here is the best cards for your money.

Geforce 6200 Non-TC

It has support for all the newest features and is a better performer than any IGP. You might be able to find something slightly better on the FS forum but make sure to keep it in the 6 series or higher for nvidia and the x1 series or higher for ati or you lose newer features.

Non turbo cache. You want something that has and uses its own memory only, not stealing it from your system.

Turbo Cache. It means the card has the capabiltity to address some of the system memory for video memory.
