Having owned Panasonic cordless phones for almost 10 years I can highly recommend the Panasonic brand. My first Panasonic cordless phone cost me an arm and a leg ($129) from The Sharper Image but it was so cool, nice design, dual keypads, speakerphone, retractable antenna, good range for a 49MHz cordless, and long talk time. This was around 1990 when I bought that phone and when it died in 1997 (SEVEN YEARS LATER) it still had the original manufacturer's battery in it. I don't have any stories where I threw it against the wall, dropped it 400 times, ran it over or drowned it in the kitchen sink but the phone went through roughly seven years of abuse and several hundred thousand hours of talking.
Anyhow how much do you want to spend on a cordless phone? Do you mind if it has a built-in digital answering machine?
Here's a list of all the
Panasonic 2.4GMHz cordless phones, most of them have caller ID, and others have nicer features.
I found the top of the line
Panasonic KX-TG2570S for $123.60, this phone normally retails for $199. This price is after rebates, etc.
I'll need to know soon because the coupon expires Monday, 2/19.
