Whats a dirt farmer?

I always too it to mean a poor farmer. Doesn't have a good crop yield and at the end of the year he doesn't have much more than dirt.

Heh.

We don't need another thread where the people who shower before work and the people who shower after work argue about who works harder.

Or a thread about how people who work in front of a computer sitting on their butts all day are magically superior to those who do physical work.

Well to change the subject, people who farm mulch or dirt can become very wealthy.

I read a story about a teenage kid who took garbage from restaurant and garbage truck workers and got paid $500 to get it dumped every day and then he incubated it in a barn for a couple months and made his own brand and sells it for about $7 for about a couple yards.

Where my mom's family was from it simply meant someone who grew agricultural products such as grains or vegetables. Dairy or beef farmers would not be dirt farmers. Those who grow soybeans would.

You typically don't hear a dairyman or cattle rancher called a farmer.

Where I grew up ( <== Cheesehead ) dairy farmers were called dairy farmers. Ranchers were folks who lived somewhere out west.

Same where I am from (FIB - A cheesehead should know what that is 🙂 ). Ranchers are John Wayne out in Texas lol.
