What's a "booted" floppy drive cable?

I need a floppy cable and some are booted and others are not. What does this mean? Also, how long of a cable is usually necessary? I have an Antec Sonata case.

Thanks

I was thinking of a flat one since I hear of problems with round ones. Is the "booted" designation just something to do with round ones?

Thanks

Well the only thing I can think of are those little pieces of rubber they put on rounded cables (floppy and ide) that cover the joint between the cable and the connector to prevent damage since the strands are all pulled apart and exposed (if no boot).

ie: the little triangle shape cover on this cable
