What's a blog that you can fully edit?

I tried several free ones and all of them have the layout locked so you can't even change the main banner.
Are there any where I can completely modify how I want the layout to look like?

If you really want fine grained control, use a framework like http://www.djangoproject.com/ or http://framework.zend.com/. Sure there's a learning curve, but it's worth it considering you don't have to deal with some of the restrictive and utter spaghetti code underneath Wordpress/Drupal.

Blogger if you know HTML. Wordpress' hosting service doesn't allow you to edit the themes or add your own. You need to get their software and host it on your own domain to do that.

Sounds like you may be a candidate for having your own web site. Even if you don't know HTML there are WYSIWYG editors out there.

I'm using drupal now and it comes with a theme editor, but I can't figure out how to install it on the new version, it only comes with instructions to install for the older version.

I'm trying to install theme editor for drupal 6.x

I tried using the older directions, but there's no theme_editor_engine.engine file for me to copy.
I did everything else on the instructions, but the module doesn't show up in the CP.
