Remember back some 2 years when the big hubub was the Russian startup seeking venture capital for their Alpha killer chip the Elbrus E2K? Does anyone know what the heck happened with all that hardware stuff?

Seemed to me it was all hype. They were in the preliminary stages of design and were making some extraordinary claims to get some capital funding. Does anyone know how close they were to producing a part?
 
yah, they and transmeta came out with outrageous promises about the same time. Transmeta actually had a chip make it to market, but their 1 GHz chip is something like over 1 year delayed with no release date in sight. I was just curious if I had missed something with Elbrus like them getting bought by bitboys or something. oh well, thanks everyone.
