Whatever happened to the moderator discussions sub-forum? It is invisible to me for some reason.

It seems like some level of QA is missing for this mod forum limited access feature to disappear without being caught before it went live.

At the same time, what is the purpose of this functionality, for other mods to be able to interact within those topics? I mean on other forums, matters are usually handed by PM interaction... as long as it triggers a normal PM notification rather than depending on some kind of pop-up notification which these days, many people have blocked in their browsers.

FOrgive me for not understanding, but I was just subject to a mod edit and I would like to plead my case. Without a Mod forum, how should I do that?

I saw a post mentioning the moderator discussions sub forum:
https://forums.anandtech.com/thread...-russia-invades-ukraine.2600920/post-41032429

but I have never seen it on the list. And until seeing it mentioned in said post, I had zero interest in it. I am curious now, it is something I am supposed to be able to see in the list of forums?

I admit, my interest is of the most base form, I have little interest general topic of moderation, but mainly was curious to see how a certain posters discussion on moderation would go.

It is a shame that we no longer have a sub forum for having open discussions among just ourselves and the mods.
There would be some musings for their amusement or annoyance.

I cannot locate this forum either, but my thread from computer building has disappeared without warning. Not sure why, or if this was a moderator action or where I should go for assistance. It took me hours to write that post...

Are you 100% certain that it posted at all? Sometimes, I'll write a post, and the intermittent problem of the forum being unloadable will happen and the post just vanishes into a black hole, never got posted.

Hours to write a post seems a bit excessive but if I compose something that takes more than a moment, I'll save a copy of it locally, especially on other forums where there might be some script I've blocked or whatever, that causes it to fail to post and then it's gone if I try to go back in the browser. On that note you might also look in your browser history to see if it includes the posting page, if all you wrote might still be cached in the browser.

Lol Hours may be hyperbole. But yes, it posted. multiple users had replied. I had quoted and replied. I suppose total effort with the thread, finding the links to products, research, etc, may summate to a few hours. But yes - the piece had posted and was an actively engaged topic
