Whatever happened to Scott Ritter?

Didn't he claim the US would attack Iran in June, 2005? It's now almost a year from his date, and we aren't even close to attacking Iran. Did he just straight up lie about it, or was he given bad information?

Inspired by this thread I saw in forum issues (thanks cKG).

I wasn't speaking of that, and it's not even closely related to my question, why did you bring that up, to divert attention from Ritter?

Interesting that Ritter's lies/bad info did not cost America one single life. Well done ntdz for pointing that out for us. Are you starting to see the light?

Or, what is more likely. Bush and Co leaked it to him (They have done it before), saw the backlash, and procceeded to start a propaganda campaign ( Which is what is happening right now) in order to drum up support for a war.

No and No. That was a filthy lie about Ritter (who is a lifelong Republican btw) and the only pawns are the ones hired directly from the Bush Administration and the Republican National Committee.

Anyone need there phone jammed?

Consider wikipedia in the future. From Scott Ritter's entry: a comment he made about Iran in June on a radio show:

"I was very clear, based upon the information given to me, and it's 100% accurate, that in October 2004, the President of the United States ordered the Pentagon to be prepared to launch military strikes against Iran as of June 2005. That means, have all the resources in place so that if the President orders it, the bombing can begin. It doesn't mean that the bombing is going begin in June. And a lot of people went, "Ah, you said they were going to attack in June." Absolutely not."
