Whatever happened to Mr. Wizard?

When I was younger, Nickelodeon was the bomb. Now I'm listening to a commercial this afternoon for Lowe's and they're talking about a Nickelodeon color pallete to paint kids' rooms. Sheesh.

Anyhoo, did anybody else love Mr. Wizard?

I thought he was pretty cool though they always showed it at non normal times. I remember it was on at 5:30 or 6am on Weekday mornings. I used to catch it before school when I was little.

I used to watch Mr. Wizard's world all the time. And my dad said that he used to watch him also, in the 50's or 60's.

I always was into science and educational television. I don't watch MTV or any of that crap, I'm usually watching The Discovery Channel or The Learning Channel.

He's retired. His show came on in the early 1950's!

He's almost 86 years old, so it seems he's retired. IMDB doesn't list him as having died, so I'm assuming he's still alive.

yeah me too =D

cept it was on at like 7AM or something like that.
