Whatever happened to Lucid's Hydra multi gpu tech?

Hey all, anyone hear anything new on Lucid's Hydra multi gpu technology? It was supposed to scale 100% in accordance w/ the video cards used in a multi-gpu config (trumping both SLI & Crossfire). ie a 4850 added to another 4850 would show a 100% increase in FPS. It made quite a splash when it was announced last summer, but have'nt heard ANYTHING since. Any word on its development? check it out for those that are'nt familiar:

no new info at that link. all the same, it is cool. lucid is always at the bottom of my list of things to check updates for and i always forget about them. i know they have 60+ patents and scores of millions in funding, but you can't hold your breath.

A little googling found this article about Hydra dated April 20, 2009

Hopefully something will come.

The source from that article is the last announcement from January 30th. ELSA is only releasing an external 4 GPU box, it's a proprietary HPC solution that would be competing at the higher-end Tesla products. There still have not been any solutions aimed at gamers announced.
