At this point, I think I speak for all of AT in demanding to know this persons relationship to you. Since it's a HS report card, if it's yours: you're fooked. Royally.

If it's a child of yours, they need to lose prettymuch everything of value they own, be put into 24-hour lockdown, and if they have a car... sell it.

If it's a random pic you found on the internet, then meh, stupid kids cut class and bomb out of school all the time.

Comprehension skills FTW. He mentioned it's his sister.

Not gonna apologize for having the thread up for a few minutes while I was watching TV and not hitting refresh before I clicked reply.

That report card layout is trash. Whatever happened to the old time style

Math - F
English - F
History - F
P.E. - F

Now thats a report card one can be proud of!

I thought the scores were out of 50's, then I read the comments and it become obvious. I've known people with similar report cards, but nothing like this, how many times have you gone to these classes?

I know your being sarcastic, but sometime this does actually happen.

Yes, I've read about that.

Keep it up, with any luck I'll pass you on the street some day, and toss a quarter into your cup. It's Darwanism at its best, the lazy and the stupid get left behind, so there's more high-end jobs for those of us who don't suck at life.

What chance of actually graduating high school is there?

Doesn't look like much of a chance to graduate on time. Although she appears to be taking US History and French 3 which are junior level classes, she is taking Math A (in what looks to be the first half of it at a remedial level) and Earth Science which are both freshman level classes. Of course she is failing "English 5" also... don't know how that fits into anything.

Note, this is just from my experience with NYS schools -- I know different schools do offer different things at different times...

What the heck kind of freaky report card is that??? Strangest bloody thing I've ever seen. The only thing I understand is the comment section, which looks pretty much like all of my high school report cards.

As long as the person made the absences worth it, it's all good. My record was over a hundred...maybe a hundred and a half. Man that was a good year.

As I've said in many threads, there are a LOT of possibilities. First, you cannot deduce anything from a grade alone. Second, grades do not in any real way determine the rest of your life.

Plenty of people get those marks that are the smartest (or nearly the smartest) kid in the school. It's important to be aware of what real effects will come of it, but just as important to understand what effects won't necessarily result.

I myself had the 2nd highest SAT's in the school, and a .012 cumulative GPA. I'm now doing my Masters in Education and have always managed to get by at the level I was comfortable living at. In other words, there's a LOT more information needed to make any meaningful comments about this particular case.
