What year were the google maps satelite images taken?

I found my house but, but the local Vons thats near isn't there (is been there for 3-4 years I think). Is there a way to get real time satelite images from google?🙂

Not real time, maybe six months or so. The satellite imagery is orbital, in other words, real time would imply that there is a stationary satellite for every point on Earth.

No. And the time they were taken varies greatly. And for the most part they're aerial survey photography, not satellite photos, IIRC.

I would almost bet to say that some of the photography in sparsely populated areas could be almost a decade old....Where I'm now, buildings that have been here for 6+ years do not show up!
