I used to play Doom2 Co-Op in 94 (I think?). It was also during a brief period where we had AOL. I think in 95 my family started using MV Communications. My dad got MV because AOL was costing too much with me on it. That was also around the time that Quake came out. I hope I've got my dates correct.
 
Mid to late 80s, no web that time just usenet, ftp, and those other text things. Internet was pretty boring back then so mostly went on local bbs's, that's where the fun was. Didn't start using a graphical web browser until 95 or so though.

94... Compuserve. It was really good!!! I was able to find a crack (credit card generator)... that was able to make free accounts... it was great when it lasted...

I remember the first time I heard about AOL I was like, "What, Miracle Online?" When it was finally explained to me, I thought, "Oh, so it's like Prodigy."
 
Early '97 checked email via Juno for 1 month, looked at the phone bill, and then switched to a local ISP and been there since

Just started using broadband last year
