Why do you people spend so much just to know what time it is? Are you viewing watches as a status symbol somehow?

As for pocket watches, I have one from the American Historical Society, a gift with a silver dollar on its back but I find that the time-setting knob tends to get moved by rubbing against my pocket, so that the time I get from it is highly unreliable. I therefore almost never use it.

I also need to use a leather wrist band. Metal links just pull at my arm hairs and that is quite annoying.

I guess I am the only one here, at least so far, with a Breitling.

I love watches and have quite a few.

My everyday favorites are my 2 Citizen Aqualand Pros. Also have an Omega, Casio, Seiko and Citizen.

I have a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 18K gold and stainless which cost me 2300 in 1988. Wish Id have bought a Submariner then also for $1200.

A wrist watch is not about just having the time, it makes quite a statement about the wearer. Note clintons cheap plastic POS, I did right off.
