He's talking the other way around. What would 17 year old you, so to the now you.

Mine would say "You're 'clean'? Yeah right, lets go have a beer."

Ahhh ok.

Well then I'd say, "Welp, this is underwhelming."

I wouldn't talk to my 17yo self, it would change my future and my kids would never be born.

But if I could without affecting my kids, I would tell myself winning numbers 12/2/2015, Current Estimated Jackpot 127 Million . 14, 18, 19, 32, 64, 9 marry xmas.

My 17 YO self would say.. "At least I age pretty gracefully and I'm definitely getting contacts NOW".

I'd say to him... "You're gonna get a gut feeling to change careers between your second and third year of college. DO IT".

Hard to say because grass is always greener, but I'd probably say:

- Don't date that insane chick for over 2 years; it was a waste of your life

Not sure if I'd made different choices if I'd be happier right now or better off, but I'd like to think so.
Agree with you here. And also agree that had I not dated insane chick I probably wouldn't have met my wife. This a no-win scenario really.

O wait, you mean there's a better scene than THE STREETZ?!??!?!

Yeah, there's no real way to tell where one would end up, even if they had made one slightly different choice. Taking one fork in the road can lead you down an infinite mount of other forks.

Trippy shit if you think about it.

It's really crazy how many things are connected.

For example, if I hadn't been laid off in '08, I wouldn't have met my SO four years later.

Classy joint.

Also, I thought Yogi said "If you come to a fork in the road, take it." If you take the fork, there'll be none left.. right?!?!?!?!

I can think of no classier place than the sticky, man filled dance floor of the Backstreets. Boy... The memories are flooding back all of a sudden.

That he did. Another favorite Yogi of mine also once said, "I'm smarter than your av-er-age bear!!"

....No idea how that's relevant here though.

What's funnier is that people there really thought a 'classy' night was Maxfields or Mama Lucia's. God help them.

No matter what you do in life, you will eventually get bored of it.

1) College/University isn't any more special than trade school. Frankly, it is just trade school with fancier words attached to it. (not saying to not go to college, just saying what it really is)
2) Just pick a career that pays well
3) Live cheap as hell out of college with few luxeries
4) Invest early on in real estate. Might not make much up front but when those mortgages on the rentals disappear you will be signing a different song.
5) retire at 40 and keep the same quality of life or work longer and start enjoying life with all your wealth.
6) Don't rush into having kids or else (3) will be impacted and you will be screwed (no pun intended).

"What. The. Fuck." Except he wouldn't say fuck, because he'd be a sheltered kid that's barely beginning to realize how much he doesn't know.

I believe this is what your now self would tell your 17 year old self. This thread is opposite.... D:

Also - If you do #1 and #2, you won't have to necessarily do #3.

Hard to say because grass is always greener, but I'd probably say:

1) Don't go to that nerdy, small shitstain of a college you went to
2) Don't date that insane chick for over 2 years; it was a waste of your life
3) Don't take that lame job or move to that lame state

Not sure if I'd made different choices if I'd be happier right now or better off, but I'd like to think so.

1) Same here. Went to a school for engineering which meant it was a big 4 year sausage fest.
2) There is sane ones?
3) Meh, just make big bucks any way possible.
