It's a 93 sentra with 152,500 miles. It's got a new stereo system worth around $250. Everything works including cruise, AC, power mirrors. It's a 5 speed. White. No problems whatsoever in interior and the exterior is great except for a few small scuffs at the back where the paint is through (maybe 5 scuffs total of 1-2 inches in total area). No rust. The tires are sh*t. It's extremely reliable and drives really well.

Edmunds says around $1950-2000. Kelly says $2200.

Problem is it needs to go from being in paper tomorrow morning to sold by tuesday afternoon. I'm not willing to negotiate a price decrease of more than $100 with a person and if I try and score too much cash I'll end up screwed getting $1400 (?) from a dealer as I would have to sell it on wednesday since I'm possibly leaving the country and the car is no good to me then.

I paid $2400 for it last november with $142k by a guy who sells cars privately himself a lot so I was kind of estimating partly on his price taking into account 8 months and 10k miles, but then it didn't have a cd player then.

My guess was to put it in around $2100 or so...?

Honestly, with that many miles, I don't care what the sites say, you'd be lucky to get $1700 outta me.

Price it at $2000 if you want top dollar, and $1500 if you need to sell it fast. Law of supply and demand.

list it for 2200 With an OBO near it and say you will consider any offer on it. See what that gets you.

Given the short time you've allowed yourself to sell, I wouldn't worry about only giving up $100 in negotations. As long as you stay over $1400 you're doing better than what you'd planned on getting in trade. If you do end up using it as a trade-in I'd suggest taking the stereo back out of it. It's not going to gain you anything on the trade, you could either reuse it or sell it separately. $2100 sounds like a good asking price, be happy if you get $1800-1900 for it.

I would trade it for a new vid card, this GF2 gts is old, also I would request another Hard drive.

I think you could get $2k for it, but I don't know about getting rid of it that quickly. Why do you have to get rid of it?

"What would you sell my car for?"

Because I needed the money? :p You're leaving the country? Going back to Canada-land?

I was thinking the same thing, KBB always overestimates the value of a car, Edmunds does better

Mannnn, that's a lotta miles! I wouldn't pay more than a grand for something that high in mileage.
