<-- WD junkie here. I'd say it depends on what you intend to use the drive for. If it's just storing a boatload of MP3's or misc. files, then the Seagate is as good as any. If you are booting from the drive, or maybe doing something disk intensive like video editing the WD drive is a better option.

i think ill stick with the old faithful WD..i will be booting off it and store programs etc on it...thanks all for your help...the only thing i dont like about the WD is while playing games (freedom fighter for example) you can hear it churning for the swap file...it sounds like a jet....the drive itself is not bad mind you but just a tad bit loud imo
