1. How important do you think HS events are?
2. How Important was homecoming for you? What about Homecoming dance?
3. How important were school dances for you?
4. How important was prom for you?
5. How important was Graduation for you?

Reflecting is fun until it becomes a school assignment.

1. Not very
2. Not very, no dance for my school, only a carnival full of equipment that looked like it was on its way to the junk yard
3. Not very (not many anyway), Senior Prom was fun though.
4. Senior Prom wasn't too important to me and I originally wasn't going to go, but I went and had a lot of fun.
5. Graduation was so boring.

1. When I was in HS I went to almost all of the dances and all of the proms, it's not like I had anything more "memorable" to do.
2. Not particularly, but I went for the dance all 4 years and football the final year when we had a good team. I met my first GF at homecoming as a freshman
3. Again, they weren't particularly important, but I went anyway and had no regrets
4. read above. It helped that I knew a guy who owned a non-traditional limo (mint condition 1988-1989 Caddilac Brogham) that was in mint condition. Made it a lot more fun both years to have a non-commercial limo driver.
5. Graduation was stupid, but hey. I went.

The bottom line is that most of these activities may seem stupid and pointless to you now, but what can you possibly do that would be a better use of your time than participate in these? It shouldn't be like pulling teeth. I never once looked back on one of those events and said that "it cost too much money" or "I'd have rather spent the night at home playing with myself"

JUST GO

1. It is good to experience some stuff in HS like sports and whatnot just to be social.

2. Homecomimg sucked my freshman year but soph, jr, and senior years it was fun as heck. Its all in what you make of it I guess.

3. I enjoyed them. I went to most of mine and alot at other schools. Had a blast. Again it is what you make of it and who you go with.

4. Prom wasnt very important untill my senior year. Up untill then I didnt really care but once I realized that it was the last HS dance I would go to I had to go. I went with my girlfriend to my prom and hers (we were together for 2.5 years at that point) and had an amazing time at mine and a pretty good time at hers. The difference was the friends. At hers noone danced. We were the only ones on the dance floor for atleast 15 songs. It was pretty sad. She only graduated with 50 people but still. At mine (I graduated with 200) the floor was so packed that it overflowed into the eating area and tables were moved. Excelent time. If you have the chance GO you wont regret it.

5. Graduation was so so. Nothing neat there really. Our valdictorian (sp?) sucked she didnt interact with people and studied her ass off. She endedup with a 4.4? Our saluditorian was awesome. He hungout with my group of friends somewhat but he was always going out with guys from his group. He entered college at the Ordianary Differental Equations level (AKA he completed calc 1, 2, 3, and linear algebra in highschool). He had a 4.38 or somethen like that. BACK TO THE POINT. her speach sucked and made it more boring than it needed ot be.

GO TO PROM

1 - not important
2 - worthless, worthless
3 - worthless
4 - worthless
5 - if it wasn't for my family wanting to go, i wouldn't have gone most likely (as long as it didn't affect being able to get my diploma)

1. Didn't care about most of them. I didn't need my educational organization's help with socialization.
2. Didn't care. Cared even less about a dance.
3. School dances are possibly one of the most useless social exercises of adolescence. At best it's practice for going to a wedding.
4. Same as #3, except it's the most popular. When you get older you go to similar events that hold more importance, called weddings.
5. The ceremony was a good excuse to go get a nice free dinner.

HS?

Homecoming week is coming up in a little less than a month for my college. We're paired up with a pretty hot sorority and a bunch of boozehounds. Should be an awesome weeklong party.

1. Not very
2. Not very/Not very
3. Not very, but I enjoyed all of them nonetheless
4. Mildly, but IIRC my $250 investment didn't get me laid
5. Not very

High school events are important until you graduate high school and realize how meaningless they are. Unless you're a loser and high school is actually the high point of your life.

It doesnt have to be THE high point in your life but that doesnt mean it has to be the low one. I LOVE college. I wouldnt go back to highschool if you paid me. But I sure as hell had a good time while I was there. Honestly though I dont think there is anything that could get me to go back.

I dunno, at my HS a lot of the alums would always come back to watch the homecoming game, hence the name.

2) Didn't go
3) The few I went to were fun ... but I didn't care for them
4) Prom ... hahahahaha .... blow $500 on BS and hte event doesn't even take place at your school? It has no meaning anymore other than for tux renters to make money.
5) Bla .... only went because my parents made me (ditto for college)

1. Who cares. You will forget when you get into college.
2. Never went. Never regretted it.
3. Only went to 2. Hated them both.
4. Went because my friends pressured me. My date walked out on me.
5. Important to me. That was the most memorable time for me in high school.

Homecoming.. LoL. So as an alum, my first year back at high school, we went to watch our homecoming game.

We were the WORST team ever, having lost every single homecoming game until just recently, and wouldn't you know, we took like a 49-0 beating. High school games suck when all your school is, is just academics. What's even worse is the next day (Saturday) was GAME DAY (UCLA @ California), where we had a nice 60,000+ fans and a crowd that's actually alive, and a top notch top 10 team that stomped all over UCLA.

So after that I decided NEVER to go back to my high school for homecoming again because honestly, it sucks.
