I'm starting a company to offer my computer support/repair services. I am going to working with a friend of mine to cover the West Island area of Montreal. We have goals to expand throughout the island and build a force of reputable in-home technicians as well as having a store front for drop-offs and online remote desktop support.
I look at the services offered by Geeksquad or similiar big name competition and realize it is a total rip off. But how can I compete with them if I name my company "PC Repair" or "Computer Services". From reading Guy Kawaski's Art of the Start, I realize that I need to have a brand - something that will have a deeper effect on customers. Can anyone here help me come up with some ideas?
I was thinking something along of the lines of translated words.. like "help" in Native American languages or something like that? I'm not quite sure. I maybe need some catchy Web 2.0 style name maybe? Like 1-2 simple words? I originally thought "fix IT" would be clever but its obviously been done and its kinda dorky too! Any ideas?
