Yep. They can point to North Korea as an example that makes them look better. Plus, they can point to it as a nation that fights the good fight for communism against the mighty oppressive Western economic hegemony. Plus, North Korea is apparently resource-poor enough to not be valuable enough to bother to take in the first place.

All of the above, and China considers it a buffer zone from SK also.

-Come up with a realistic healthcare plan
-Come up with a realistic immigration plan
-Come up with a sensible energy policy
-Make peace with the intelligence community
-Cut out the hyperbole
-Admit that his behavior has been crude and unprofessional and apologize for it
-Kick DeVos, Sessions, and Perry to the curb

Yeah, I know.

-Come up with a realistic healthcare plan (ok)
-Come up with a realistic immigration plan (ok, only if we enforce the laws)
-Come up with a sensible energy policy (open to see what that is)
-Make peace with the intelligence community (???)
-Cut out the hyperbole (good luck)
-Admit that his behavior has been crude and unprofessional and apologize for it (lol)
-Kick DeVos, Sessions, and Perry to the curb (Sessions stays, the other two go)

Yeah, I know.

Some I agree with.

Some I agree with.

By sensible energy policy I mean more clean energy technologies, investment in modern fission technologies, a push towards feasible fusion power, and modernization and securing of our power infrastructure.

By peace with the intelligence community I mean that I'd like to see him stop slamming them publicly, undermining them, and start attending security briefings.

Show us details on what will replace the ACA
Show meaningful progress toward curbing illegal immigration
Fill SCOTUS vacancy
Smack the shit out of John Kerry and reverse the Iran deal
Revoke the Cuba deal
Kill TPP and show us it's dead
Take out Kim Jong Un
Bomb the hell out of ISIS
I would add take the steps to reform many of our agencies that have become highly politicized under 0bama. The IRS, the DOJ, the EPA, and several agencies within the intel community to name the most egregious examples. That means at the very least Clapper, Comey and Brennan must go. Koskinen should be shown the door on day one if at all possible.

Next on the list, turn the press room Russian, and pack it with Trump cheerleaders, just like he had a cheering section in the last press conference.

I think they overturned the idea of moving it out of the White House and having 4X as many people to turn a real press conference into a Trump rally.

But he's still shooting at that Putin model of government.

Comey and Co. probably aren't going anywhere, the continued BS about Hillary and E-Mails was probably one of the best things Trump could have ever hoped for.

But he would want his own rats in there I imagine, he's shoving them into ever available slot at the moment even if they are completely unqualified.

Just look at the joke of a cabinet he is trying to throw in, half of them do not even have a clue what the position involves.

The IRS and DOJ were always highly political way before Obama, or you do not know your history at all.

I do not know what your rant is about the EPA, unless you're invested in some company that want to rape the land in name of profit.

Show us details on what will replace the ACA
Show meaningful progress toward curbing illegal immigration - done
Fill SCOTUS vacancy - would have been done but for a butthurt hack Congress
Smack the shit out of John Kerry and reverse the Iran deal - Why?
Revoke the Cuba deal - Why?
Kill TPP and show us it's dead - okay by by me
Take out Kim Jong Un - I wonder why no one's thought of that before?
Bomb the hell out of ISIS - Fine by me. How do we get them to stand still?
The rage against the Iran nuclear deal stinks of the same ignorance-based, partisan hackery that sank the comprehensive test ban treaty.

What's wrong with the change in Cuba policy? Was the old policy working?

China likes having a rabid dog on a leash. "We're all very reasonable but watch out for Puffy here; he's a bit unpredictable."

Reverse all the asinine Obozo regulations for one. He's going to do some of that on day one.

When I argued back when ACA was a major topic of discussion on other forums I said we needed a system that is based on competition. I stated if you could buy an orange from Florida, why can't you buy health care from Florida or any other state for that matter? So I hope that when the BS Obozo care is finally repealed, it's replaced with a competition-based health care law and I hope Trump gives refunds for that last year at least for the ACA bullshit fees.

Many. many more...

Given the fact the left is no better and they treat him like shit? I don't think so. People are gonna have to realize that when someone punches Trump, he punches right back. Just look at all the vitriol from the left about who sings, etc at the inauguration and the fact one third of Dems won't attend the inauguration.

Been there, done that, it failed. Conservatives pride themselves on knowing history but they rarely learn from history.

I didn't say it wouldn't happen. I said that we've tried free market healthcare and it was a failure.

Did you not read what I wrote about competition-based? Across state lines? The free market works! If it didn't this country wouldn't be as great as it has become.

No, not "been there, done that, it failed". You can't say the free market approach failed when all we've had is essentially a heavily regulated marketplace that can't function normally because of the interference. The consumer does best when you have real competition within a specified framework. The worst abuse occurs when you have a monopoly situation (government granted or market created) or very few realistic choices for the consumer.

Free market healthcare was a failure. That's why people pooled their money for insurance (private socialism). That also failed.

Sure I can say free market healthcare failed because it failed. We have a regulated market as an attempt to address the market failures but that is also failing. So we got the ACA as a band-aid on the whole mess and that has been a failure as well.

Can't remember who but someone here made an excellent point that we already have that, as almost all insurance companies operate in multiple states. Even BCBS only broke up into state entities because of federal regulations.

There is no doubt that President Trump will be a breath of fresh air in Washington. What would you like to see him do in the first 100 days of his presidency?

I think this says more about where you guys like to keep your heads than anything else. The fetid stink of his swamp turned sewage facility is hard to ignore, but it's funny to see you trumpettes keep smiling while you hope people stop talking about the stench. "No doubt"... LOL!

I'm setting my bar low for Trump. In the first 100 I'd like to see him act like an educated adult, instead of a morally and ethical compromised man-child with sociopathic tendencies. Bonus points if he can avoid blundering into another war or allowing Wall Street to assrape the economy again.

Werepossum: don't bother re Star Wars, it's mediocre. I saw it in an Imax type theatre and almost fell asleep-and I see movies in the theater maybe once a decade.

Back to Trump:

-veto Congressional repeal of ACA with the understanding that he won't veto a future repeal IF it is accompanied by at least a comprehensive outline of what the replacement will be

-fill vacancies with competent, nonpartisan people. There are at least 40 political appointments at the NSA that will go vacant Friday, don't require Senate approval and he hasn't even filled one yet. National security should be issue 1-our opponents always test us during transition periods. Basically a quarter of the NSA-and nearly all the policy positions-are empty come Friday.

-Actually submit a replacement ACA plan along the lines of what he promised most recently.

-Don't reverse the recent US military buildup in Eastern Europe. His buddy Putin is going to set his eyes on taking back Estonia or some other former Eastern block country very soon-no sense in encouraging him.

-Keep the sanctions in Russia in place (OTOH the smart money is buying Exxon stock and futures now).

-Withdraw nearly all his present Cabinet appointees and start over with competent, centrist nominees (Yeah, like that's going to happen-his Cabinet is chock full of conspiracy nuts and single issue wackjobs)..
