My roommate and I decided to order some pizzas. My roommate's girlfriend said she would pick them up on her way here. Autopsy 8 just started on HBO, so I watch. I've been watching for 30 minutes. She shows up with the food and we start eating and I keep watching my show. Now, a "gross" part comes up. She says to change the channel. I told her to go to another room if she doesn't want to watch. She thought I was kidding and says "whatever, change the channel." I told her that I've been watching the show for 30 minutes and that if she can't handle it to go watch TV in another room. She got all pissed off and left.

Maybe I didn't exactly do the right thing, but I don't think I did anything wrong. What do you think?

Perhaps, but she didn't go out of her way, it was on her way. Also, when we hang out or whatever, she NEVER pays. That is, if the three of us were to order pizza, my roommate and I split it. So, I think it's fair that I get to watch what I want to watch when I pay for her food and she's not my girlfriend.

I think what you did was fine. It was your tv, etc.... But, it wouldn't have hurt you to flip the channel for a few seconds on the "gross" part either. I'm not grossed out by that stuff at all, but I know some people are. Either way....I don't think I'd sweat it.

Agreed. Why should you pay for 1/2 and only eat 1/3.

If you friend wants to pay for hers then that's cool, he can cough up 2/3 of the total or split his 1/2 with her.
