I would have pitched to the guy before him. I can understand teaching kids about fairness and all, but they also need to be taught not to pick on others. And that is exactly what they did.
Nobody would have had a problem hardly at all if the opposing coach elected to pitch to the better batter and he smacked it out of the park. Especially not like the stink this has caused.
Bottom line: Is is just little league. It is for fun and sportsmanship. This was neither.
Those kids that won didn't learn and weren't taught a damn thing, other than their coach wanted a trophy bad enough to do something distasteful to get it.
