Little background. I moved to a new area at the beginning of July. I am a recent college grad in computer science. I haven't been able to land an interview much less get a job.
Last night when I was at the mall, I was wearing a hat for my university. A man and women stopped me to ask what the hat was for. It only has one letter on it. Well it just happens that this guy's wife graduated from my university. We talked for a few minutes with him asking what I majored in and what I wanted to do in my future. Well it turns out he owns his own company and he needs business people with technical backgrounds. I did a foot in mouth syndrome because I had mentioned how I wanted to be a programmer first before I got into the business side of things. Anyways, he gave me his card and asked for my name, phone, and email address. I gave it to him. I REALLY want this job. We had a nice discussion. Once I found out more about him then I of course showed more interest.
He said he would give me a call in two weeks and if he didn't then I should definately give him a call.
My question is, should I call him before that? I really WANT and NEED this job. I don't want to wait and watch the job disappear because I don't call. On the other hand, I don't want to piss him off calling him before two weeks because he told me he would call.
What would you do?
