I have an extra room and its completely empty so there is your answer: nothing.

I plan on moving back out in under a year so why bother.

We talking extra "Bedroom" or extra "Bonus Room". I put a pool table, dart board, TV, sound system, board gaming table in our "Bonus Room". My wife got the spare bedroom as her "Craft Room" which is nothing more than a place where she piles junk and then goes through it every week complaining her room isn't clean and organized.

we have 3 bedrooms, and they have done several duties over the last 20 years. Recently I lost my office to the guest room duties, and the guest room became a dedicated sewing room. I cut a 4' barn door into that room from the great room so it had a better access and felt like it was part of the main room.
Now I have a roll top desk in the dining room for office stuff, but that is going to change. It is too big. I'll build a custom desk for the space next year.

I was wondering about those, has your barn door been pretty reliable? They have floor guides, right?

we currently use the spare room as a home office for my boyfriend and I since we're both computer nerds and both work from home occasionally.

if we had a 2nd spare room, I'd probably just use it as a guest room for friends to crash (and maybe as a dedicated cat-free room for our allergic friends to store their coats/purses in)

my ultimate dream, if we had a 3rd spare room, would be to build a door between the master bedroom and the spare room and turn it into a giant walk-in closet/dressing room so that my boyfriend or I could get ready for work in the morning without disturbing the other if they were sleeping.

Maybe a room with a bar and pool table? Although I want to put a bar in my HT at some point behind my row of seats so that it will make another row. Plus I won't have to walk all the way up a flight of stairs every time I want to make a drink. Oh the huge manatee!

I would put shelves in it and put all of my son's Legos in there. It would look so cool.

I'm not using them. It does not operate often.
The hardware is from Johnson, and it is easy to install and very sturdy.

I did not want a heavy 4' wide door there so I married I couple of 6 panel hollow core 24"slabs with the biscuit joiner and a top and bottom hardwood splice.
They weigh possibly 15 pounds each.
Painted it all white to match the rest of the 6 panel doors.

When I lived alone in townhouse, 1 extra bedroom was "guest room" for when people from out of town came over.
After I bought house and lived alone, set up dedicated theater room in basement, living room, kitchen with dinette, bedroom, home office, "guest room", "misc crap storage room"
When fiancee moved in, "misc crap" room because "Crafting room"
Then her mom moved in, took over the guest room.

Is it too late to say that I would have a "Bucket of truth" room and a hot chicks room?

I really can't say. I mean... I could... but it's for the best that I don't.

Nice, looks like a pocket door!
