<facepalm>

You might consider that a dilemma, but it's not a Catch 22 either.

Fuck, did anyone actually read the book?
LOL - Reading this thread, I was wondering the same. It appears that some posters do not understand Heller's meaning (and logic) of "Catch 22".

Great book, but the movie could not do justice to Heller's writing. (Major Major Major - secretly named that by his dad and promoted to the rank of Major by an International Business Machines computer with a sense of humor :)

Sharks regularly attack kayakers and surfers. They taste first to see if you're food. After getting thrashed, they'll realize your boat/board is inedible, and go away. I imagine boaters have a better chance of making it to shore than boarders do.

I yearn for you tragically.

Not in the type of kayak in the picture - the guy is pretty much strapped in to the kayak. At least with a surfboard you can bail.

On a board there's more potential for the shark to discover the juicy filling :^D I think I'd rather be in the boat. As long as you can stay in, the float bags should make up for the hull breach and get you to shore.

Yeah, but the search feature was probably busted back then. :)
